1:2, pronounced "one to two", is a conceptual, San Francisco based non-profit that distributes children’s shoes to families with low or no income. For every one pair of shoes received from a donor, 1:2 would give out two pairs for free to a family in need—one at their child’s current shoe size and one sized up to ensure their growth is supported. This goal subsequently helps alleviate the stress of a parent budgeting for growing children and prevents a child from developing serious lifelong issues.
